Advisory Board Charge
Purpose
- Provide strategic guidance and input to LISC and SFF with implementation of the Partnership for the Bay’s Future Investment and Policy Funds
- Come together across sectors from across the region to support transformative housing solutions, and coordinate strategy and collective action to shift the Bay Area’s long-term growth to a more inclusive path.
- Aim to expand and protect the housing stability of up to 175,000 households and preserve and produce over 5,000 homes in the first six years
- Further the knowledge, interest, and political will among a diverse and strategically selected group of civic leaders, housing developers, business and labor leaders, subject-matter experts, and other key stakeholders. Together we work in alignment toward a shared regionwide vision around increasing affordable housing and ensuring vibrant communities of racial equity and economic inclusion.
Co-Chairs, Conveners, and Facilitators: SFF & LISC
- Formally convene/lead meetings
- Welcome Advisory Board members to meetings and frame aspirations and context
- Provide staff support for meeting logistics (location, food, RSVPs)
- Advance and support the Partnership for the Bay’s Future’s work as a part of a unified broader housing strategy
- Provide staff support for the Advisory Board’s work (meeting agendas, notes, roster maintenance, etc.)
- Self-selecting, ad-hoc or standing groups that will work on specific topics or strategies, advise The San Francisco Foundation and LISC as needed, and bring recommendations or information back to the full Advisory Board as appropriate
Membership
Advisory Board membership is by invitation-only; each member serves two-year terms
Roles
Be ambassadors of the Partnership for the Bay’s Future by being fully engaged and furthering goals and objectives
Collective Support
Willingness to share information, problem solving, and helping others
Communications
Use social media accounts to post updates about the Partnership for the Bay’s Future and sharing updates about the Partnership with interested and possible collaborative networks
Expertise
Contribute industry knowledge and best practices
Relationships
Willingness to provide introductions and connections to key stakeholders, and to be a connector when creating new dialogue or pursuits with established relationships
Meetings & Communication
- Quarterly meetings that will be hosted at SFF
- Meeting summaries provided by SFF
- Interim/Ad-hoc communications provided by SFF as needed, in between meetings
